Rotherfield United 0 Caversham Trents 1
April 14th 2007

In the first game of the Summer League campaign, Rotherfield once again faced local rivals Caversham Trents.

The first-half saw few clear chances for either side, with both teams taking time to adapt to playing on a bigger pitch than usual. Kalhan Shah made a number of well-timed tackles and interceptions to ensure that at half-time the score was still 0-0.

After the restart, United began to create chances and Owen Lowe was twice unlucky not to break the deadlock with efforts from close-range. It was Caversham though that finally opened the scoring when a looping shot crept into the bottom corner after a cruel bounce.

Rotherfield searched for an equaliser but at the final whistle the score was still 0-1. The effort award was given to Kalhan Shah for another confident defensive performance.
